TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Versatility: Kayak & Packraft

This very compact 4-part paddle is suitable for both touring kayak and packraft beginners

How to assemble your paddle

Assemble the blades onto the tubes using the push pins, then assemble the tubes together using the latch system.

We use a latch system to minimise the feeling of play between strands.

If it is not fastened tightly enough, open the latch and tighten the metal screw.

Storage bag

The storage bag is designed to be simple and in line with the frugal dimension of "light" packraft adventures. It allows the paddle to be stored before and after use without losing any parts.

How to change the size of your paddle

The adjustments depend on the kayaker, the environment, and the vessel:

A short paddle for white water and narrow kayaks (< 60 cm wide).

*Short paddle = between 20 and 30 cm more than your height

A longer paddle for touring and wider kayaks (> 60 cm wide).

*Long paddle = between 30 and 40 cm more than your size

How to paddle

Low hands, horizontal, or low angle:

All of these terms mean the same thing. Your paddle is on the thin side and is long; When touring, you'll be looking for duration rather than strength.

This technique means you can manage your exertion and limit fatigue

High hands, vertical or high angle:

Your paddle is more vertical and short, it's more intended for use in whitewater or competitions.

This more vertical technique is more physical and requires more energy

How to adjust the angle of your paddle

The adjustments depend on the kayaker, the environment, and the vessel:

Between 0° and 45° for white water, where quick movements and reactivity are necessary.

Between 45° and 90° for touring, where reduced windage is required to reduce the necessary effort.

If in doubt, just following your feeling...
