We’ve examined the environmental footprint of this product in order to identify how we can produce it in a more sustainable way. With this knowledge, our design teams were able to develop this product while significantly reducing its environmental impact.

    Product made from 90% recycled cast iron

    From ore extraction to transformation into finished products, the industrial production of metals is highly polluting. To reduce our environmental impact, we design products from recycled metal. This approach reduces the need for extracting new raw materials, uses 40% to 95% less energy, and cuts CO2 emissions by at least 10% compared to virgin metals. Recycled metal comes from the recycling of scrap metal. After a process of sorting, cleaning, and crushing, the scrap is remelted and refined to obtain a material of comparable quality to virgin metal.
