Why a set of 3 bands?
In Pilates, resistance bands allow you to work on both stretches and strength training.

What does the resistance level of these Pilates bands represent, exactly?
The resistance of a Pilates band refers to the force that you need to apply in order to stretch the elastic. For these 2, 3, and 4 kg bands, these number indicated the equivalent weight that you'd need to move to stretch the band. The higher the resistance, the harder it is to stretch, which allows you to strengthen your muscles by working against that tension.
What can you do with each of these bands?
- A 2 kg resistance band provides light resistance, perfect for beginners or for targeting muscles like the shoulders and improving your flexibility.
- The 3 kg band provides moderate resistance, perfect for making progress in your workouts and also effectively strengthening a variety of muscle groups.
- The 4 kg band offers greater resistance, adapted to advanced users or for exercises requiring greater strength and intensifying strength training.
What is the white line for?
The white line on these Pilates bands is there as a marker. It helps you check that you are using the bands in a balanced, symmetrical way, which is essential for effective exercises and to prevent injury. In other words, it is your guide to ensure that the band is positioned right and used correctly.
How to maintain your resistance bands
To maximise the life span of your resistance bands, we recommend:
- Wash them carefully with a damp cloth and warm water after each use;
- Occasionally sprinkle them with talcum powder;
- Store them away from direct sunlight and far from any heat source. Ideally, store them somewhere where the temperature will not exceed 30°C;
- Do not leave them in your vehicle, where the temperature variations can cause damage.
