Combo Ski combine snowshoes, ice spikes and mini skis in one compact design. The rotating system makes it easy to switch between hiking uphill and skiing downhill.
We recommend sturdy, high-cut hiking or trekking boots. You can also use snowboard boots. Boots larger than EU 48 can also fit, depending on the boot type and outer dimensions. The binding keeps your boot secure, while the shin support helps keep you stable when skiing.
Your heel can lift slightly, so you can walk comfortably. A surface area 2x larger than your boot helps keep you from sinking into deeper snow, while steel spikes grip the ice.
The raised tip makes skiing in softer snow easier. Stainless-steel edges help you turn, and raised lines on the base help you keep your direction.
Using Combo Ski feels similar to roller skating or ice skating. Most people get used to the movement quite quickly.
Just like skating, it takes a little practice to find your balance, shift your weight and learn the basic movements. Once you get used to it, skiing feels fun and easy to control.
A pair weighs just over 2 kg. At just 44.5 cm long, Combo Ski are easy to attach to your backpack. They support users up to 120 kg and can be used in temperatures down to −30 °C.
Combo Ski are designed and made in Prague. This gives us control over quality, materials and the entire production process.
We regularly test Combo Ski in the Czech and Austrian mountains with local guides and winter hiking enthusiasts. Their feedback helps us keep improving Combo Ski — for hiking uphill, skating and skiing downhill.
