Classic is a reliable and easy-to-use base plate compass developed for schools, youth groups, beginners and recreational navigators. Designed to support learning and outdoor exploration, it provides the essential features needed for accurate map reading and route planning.
This compass is developed for users who are new to navigation and orienteering. The simple design makes it easy to learn map and compass skills, whether in school activities, outdoor education or recreational adventures.
The rotating compass housing allows you to navigate using the SILVA 1-2-3 System®, helping you determine and follow a bearing with confidence. The compass also features a declination scale inside the capsule for easier map work.
Built-in measurement scales in millimetres, 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 make the compass compatible with most hiking, outdoor and orienteering maps. This allows for quick distance measurement and route planning directly on the map.
The detachable safety lanyard keeps the compass close at hand while providing additional safety during use. The waterproof construction ensures reliable performance in changing weather conditions.
