The Daytona 6 XL is one of skandika’s most popular tents and, just like its smaller brother Daytona 6, truly lives up to its name. Its floor plan is inspired by the tri-oval shape of the Daytona racetrack. This clever layout creates space for three separate sleeping cabins, giving everyone plenty of room and privacy.
For families and friends The Daytona 6 XL is ideal for family holidays and trips with friends. It’s perfect when you want to stay together in one tent, but still enjoy a bit of personal space in your own sleeping cabin.
Generous sleeping space The tent features three sleeping cabins, each measuring 200 x 170 cm. Every cabin comfortably sleeps two adults or up to three children, offering plenty of room for a restful night’s sleep.
Spacious living area The large central living area with a comfortable standing height of 195 cm provides enough space for guests, luggage and camping furniture such as a table and chairs – ideal for spending time together, even when the weather isn’t great.
Easy to pitch Despite its generous overall size of 570 × 390 cm, the dome tent is quick and straightforward to pitch thanks to colour-coded poles. When it’s time to go, it packs down to a compact 72 × 25 × 27 cm and weighs just 13 kg, making it easy to transport and store.
Weather-resistant A stable structure, carefully taped seams, a lay-in groundsheet and a 3,000 mm hydrostatic head on the outer tent all help the Daytona 6 XL stand up well to wind and rain, keeping the inside dry and comfortable.
Pleasant inner climate The outer tent features multiple weather-protected ventilation openings, including vents in the dome roof. These help maintain good airflow and a comfortable climate inside the tent, even when the door is closed.
Protected sleeping cabins Each sleeping cabin has its own sewn-in groundsheet to keep out damp and dirt, while mosquito mesh on the cabin doors helps protect against insects so everyone can sleep more peacefully.
Shaded entrance The front door can be rolled up and, with the steel upright poles, set up as a sun canopy. This creates a shaded, sheltered area at the entrance – perfect for relaxing or leaving shoes and gear outside the sleeping cabins.
Accessories and details Colour-coded poles make pitching easier, and there is a ceiling hook in the living area for hanging a camping lamp. A matching groundsheet for the interior, pegs, guy lines and pitching instructions are all included in the package.
