The Daytona 6 XL Protect has been one of our most popular family tents for years – now available in a fresh, on-trend anthracite and green colourway. This spacious dome tent comes with three separate XL sleeping cabins. Each cabin comfortably sleeps 2 adults with room to spread out. And if the kids don’t want to sleep without Mam and Dad, the cabins are generous enough to fit a smaller child as well – exactly what you’d expect from an XL design.
Flexible use Daytona Protect suits a wide range of trips: family holidays, weekends away or festival camps. It’s fast to set up, and the layout can be easily adapted – turning space into bedrooms, a storage zone or a large living area depending on what you need.
Three large XL cabins Each of the three separate cabins provides plenty of space for 2 adults. If little ones prefer to stay close, there’s enough room to tuck a smaller child in too. The result: clear, organised sleeping areas where everyone can get a decent night’s sleep.
Individually removable cabins If you don’t need all three cabins for sleeping, you can use one as extra storage for bags and food or as a “playroom” for the kids on rainy days. At a festival, simply unhook one or more cabins to create an even bigger open space to chill, get changed and relax together.
Excellent darkening Around the sleeping cabins, the outer tent is finished with a silver coating. While it doesn’t quite reach the full blackout level of skandika Sleeper technology, it still works together with the black inner cabins to noticeably darken the bedrooms and support more restful sleep.
Comfortable tent climate The upper section of the rear wall of each cabin is made from mosquito mesh, helping fresh air circulate and keeping the sleeping climate pleasant. At the front, all cabins can be fully closed for privacy or, if you prefer, just with a mesh door to keep insects out while letting air in.
Entrance with sunshade The main entrance is also equipped with mosquito mesh for insect protection. On bright days, you can use the two included steel poles to turn the door into a sun canopy, creating a shaded outdoor area at the front of the tent.
Waterproof and weatherproof Flexible, shatterproof fibreglass poles and a tear-resistant flysheet with a 3,000 mm waterproof rating keep the Daytona stable and dry, even in changeable weather. The fully sewn-in groundsheet protects against draughts, rising damp and unwelcome insects.
Practical extras Under the main dome there’s a hook for hanging a camping lamp, and each sleeping cabin has handy storage pockets. They keep all the small essentials within easy reach – from smartphones and headphones to kids’ favourite cuddly toys and treats.
Easy to pitch Colour-coded poles and clear instructions make pitching straightforward; with two people, you can have the tent up in around 15–20 minutes. After your trip, everything packs neatly back into the sturdy carry bag. A repair kit is included to help deal with any small mishaps.
