The Ksyrium has always represented the best in aluminium wheel technology. After the respected Ksyrium Elite and Ksyrium Pro, the brand new Ksyrium SL takes it up a notch. It’s the perfect versatile wheel for those looking for reliable everyday performance on the road. This new wheel is lightweight (100 g less than the previous Ksyrium Elite despite its wider rim) and more durable than ever thanks to our patented ISM4D technology. This manufacturing process removes excess material between each spoke hole while maintaining sufficient rim wall thickness where tension and stress on the spokes are highest. These rims are made in France, at our aluminium rim factory. The double-butted spokes further reduce the weight while making the wheel more responsive. These spokes also have a patented elliptical shape that saves 5 watts for greater efficiency. Stiffness is optimized thanks to Fore technology. The top bridge is not drilled, thus remaining solid and stiff, eliminating the need for a rim tape (an additional saving of 30g per rim). The new rim bed shape makes it easier than ever to mount and dismount tyres, and our UST Tubeless technology improves rolling resistance and grip while reducing the risk of punctures. Our new Infinity hub platform optimizes stiffness and power transfer with highly controlled spoke tension, while the Instant Drive 360 freehub combined with our automatic bearing preload adjustment (QRM Auto) offers quick engagement and great durability. It is available for Shimano cassettes and can be converted for Campagnolo or SRAM XD-Road with optional driver bodies. Main features Super light and durable for everyday performance The ISM4D rim weighs just 400 g The patented lightweight spokes and 22 mm deep and 19 mm wide rims reduce inertia and increase control. The solid top bridge of the rim eliminates the need for rim tape, saving 60 g. Lateral stiffness, vertical compliance for a livelier ride The Fore technology keeps the top bridge of the rim solid to make the rim stiffer. New Infinity hub shape: stiff axle, durable bearings, and new hub design ensuring wheel stability ID360 freehub technology for better power transfer The improved UST Road offers more speed, comfort, and control in an easy-to-use tubeless system. The absence of an inner tube reduces friction, enhances efficiency and grip, and lowers the risk of punctures. The new rim bed shape makes it easier to fit and change tyres. The Fore drilling technology does not require rim tape.
