The Hayabusa Perfect Stretch hand wraps are woven from a 50% cotton / 50% nylon blend that combines the structure of cotton with the elasticity of nylon. This semi-elastic fabric conforms to the shape of the hand with each wrap, without creating rigid folds or pressure points on the knuckles or wrist. At 457 cm (180 inches) long and 5 cm wide, they cover the wrist, the metacarpal bones and the thumb with enough passes to provide firm support without excess bulk under the glove. The integrated thumb loop positions the wrap correctly from the start, aided by the "This Side Up" print, preventing incorrect wrapping at the beginning of the session. The extra-wide low-profile hook-and-loop closure adheres across its full surface without creating a ridge under the glove. The wraps are machine washable in cold water with similar colours in a wash bag and dryer safe. Each purchase includes 2 wraps (one per hand). Available in multiple colours. A 100% cotton wrap does not stretch: it is applied at a fixed tension and can create pressure zones on the knuckles if the wrapping is not precise. The 50/50 cotton/nylon blend of the Hayabusa Perfect Stretch adds moderate elasticity that allows the wrap to follow hand movements as the fist opens and closes. This avoids compression points on the metacarpals while maintaining firm wrist support. Are 457 cm enough for proper hand protection? Yes, 457 cm (180 inches) is the standard length for Mexican-style wraps, suited to the vast majority of adult hand sizes. This length allows for at least 2 to 3 wrist passes, 2 to 3 hand passes, a pass between each finger, and multiple passes over the metacarpals. What is the "This Side Up" print for? The "This Side Up" print indicates the correct wrapping direction of the wrap. On a semi-elastic wrap, the direction of application changes the tension: wrapping in the wrong direction causes the fabric to pull against itself rather than conforming to the hand, creating uneven tension across the knuckles. Can the Hayabusa wraps be worn without gloves? Yes, the Hayabusa Perfect Stretch can be worn alone for speed bag work, technical footwork drills or non-contact exercises. For heavy bag, pads or sparring, pairing them with boxing gloves is recommended to complete protection of the knuckles and wrist joint. How to wash the Hayabusa Perfect Stretch wraps? Roll the wraps before putting them in the machine to prevent tangling and velcro damage. Wash cold with similar colours in a wash bag. Dryer is allowed at low temperature. Do not use fabric softener as it would reduce velcro grip. Where to buy Hayabusa Perfect Stretch wraps in Switzerland?
