The Vango Inferno Cooker brings 2.4kW of cooking power to your pitch through a stainless steel burner that's built to handle regular camping use. What stands out is the built-in piezo ignition, so you're not hunting for matches in the rain, and the detachable pot support that tucks away underneath the burner base when you're packing up. The recessed drip tray does a decent job of sheltering the flame from wind, though you'll still want some protection if conditions get blustery. It runs on standard EN417 gas cartridges, the threaded screw-on type you'll find in any camping shop, and the braided PTFE hose includes an auto cut-off valve that stops gas flow if things get disconnected. With a 450g canister, you're looking at around 150 minutes at full blast, which in reality translates to several days of typical camping meals since most cooking doesn't need maximum heat.
This sits somewhere between lightweight backpacking gear and full-blown camping kitchens. The single burner means you're cooking one pot at a time, which works fine for couples or small families who don't mind sequential meal prep. The retractable hose system keeps everything compact, there's a carry handle for shifting it around your pitch, and the stainless steel construction wipes clean without fuss. It's practical for campers, caravanners, and motorhomers who want something more substantial than a basic backpacking stove but don't need multiple rings. The pot support handles most standard camping pans comfortably, though you'll want to check your largest pots sit securely within the support arms. At 1.16kg and measuring 25cm square, it stores easily in a locker or camping box without taking up much room.
