Ocean Safety JON-BOUY Recovery Module MK 6
The JBRM6 is a complete man overboard solution, allowing the deployment of a device that can locate, support and recover a MOB, and is considered a direct replacement for a conventional lifebuoy, horseshoe, drogue, light and whistle, as specified in the World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations, where two would normally be required.
To launch the JBRM6, a single latch allows for quick and intuitive deployment into the water. A remote deployment model is optionally available, allowing deployment from the helm, a navigation station or another selected location. When in operation, the JBRM6 is deployed directly from the container, automatically inflates and immediately provides a highly visible safe haven.
This comfortably lifts the injured person out of the water, reducing the risk of hypothermia while waiting for recovery. The MOB is recovered horizontally, which is particularly important for a potentially hypothermic casualty, and to reduce the risk of complications or cardiac arrest during recovery.
