Tokyo is a line designed for those who like everything to be neat: a modern aesthetic, straightforward energy, and equipment that keeps up with the pace. These spats are part of the Tokyo range: a grappling legging made for training hard and often, while staying comfortable from start to finish. In No-Gi as well as Jiu-Jitsu, spats make a real difference. First for protection: fewer burns, less irritation, and a simple barrier when the rounds keep coming. Then for support: the compression helps maintain a stable feel, especially when grappling, pivoting, and working hard. And most importantly, for mobility: you need to be able to shoot, invert, and get into guard without ever feeling like the fabric is holding you back. Here, the fit is ankle-length to cover properly, and the elastic waistband stays in place without being distracting. The flatlock seams reduce friction where it matters, keeping comfort even during long sessions. It’s an all-season piece: light enough for regular training, yet strong enough to withstand daily use. And if you want a cohesive outfit, that’s also the spirit of Tokyo: a set that makes sense, both visually and on the mat. Are these spats made for No-Gi or for the Gi? Both. In No-Gi, it's obvious. Under the kimono, they also provide comfort, protection, and support. Do they stay in place during rounds? Yes: ankle fit + elastic waistband to remain stable without needing to readjust. Do the seams irritate during contact? No: the flatlock seams are specifically designed to limit friction and prevent irritation. Is it more of a summer or winter piece? It’s an all-season piece: designed for year-round training, without unnecessary bulk.
