The K2 Afterblack was designed for serious durability, with a focus on a classic freestyle flex and feel, whilst offering modern manoeuvrability. We took a proven construction and design philosophy and listened to our riders to create the all-new K2 Afterblack twin-tip snowboard. Team rider Mark Wilson heavily influenced the nose and tail shape, sidecut radius, transition zone and camber profile. After numerous test sessions on the slopes and in the streets, we approved the second incarnation of the K2 Afterblack. Designed for the INTERMEDIATE TO EXPERT snowboarder, the Afterblack is a medium-flex true-twin with a Combination Camber Profile (camber between the bindings and rocker on the outside) that gives it a playful feel whilst allowing it to maintain speed and keep a straight line towards the next feature. Its tri-blend BAP™ Core combines bamboo, aspen and paulownia to deliver pop and rebound whilst dampening vibrations during the heaviest landings. Around the core, triaxial woven fibreglass from nose to tail and Carbon Darkweb™ give the Afterblack stability and edge hold to pop off lips and send big side hits.
