Designed to cover the entire resort and score an A+ in the turns category, the K2 Almanac snowboard writes the next chapter of Volume Shift™ snowboards. Conceived as an everyday board, this snowboard takes inspiration from models like the Party Platter and the Excavator, whilst carving out its own path. When choosing the Almanac, consider sizing down about 5cm, as its silhouette is wider than average (read: Volume Shift™) — so if you usually ride a 158cm board, opt for the 153cm length to lap your favourite run at the resort. On the technical side, the Almanac doesn't cut corners. Camber underfoot with raised contact points at the tip and tail make this snowboard comfortable across the entire resort — enough spring to feel the energy going into and out of the turn, and a smooth feel during edge-to-edge transitions. Starting from the base, we opted for a hard and fast Sintered 4000 base, a responsive core made of bamboo, aspen and paulownia, a biaxial fibreglass weave, and our Carbon Backbone from tip to tail that boosts Ollies over "slow down" signs. The Almanac also features an extra set of inserts for the front binding, allowing you to set your bindings back and enjoy a bit more float on deep powder days. The real deal.
