Designed to ride all over the resort and get an A+ in the turn-carving category, the K2 Almanac snowboard writes a new chapter in the history of Volume Shift™ snowboards. Specially designed for daily use, this snowboard takes inspiration from models like the Party Platter and the Excavator, whilst carving out its own path. When you choose the Almanac, you should opt for a size about 5 cm shorter than usual, as its outline is wider than average (read: Volume Shift™). So, if you usually ride a 158 cm snowboard, you should choose a 153 cm model to tear up your favourite slopes in the resort. When it comes to technology, the Almanac doesn't skimp. The camber underfoot and the raised contact points at the nose and tail make this snowboard comfortable across the entire resort: it offers enough responsiveness to give you energy in the turns and a fluid feel during edge-to-edge transitions. From bottom to top, we started with a hard and fast sintered 4000 base, a lively core made of bamboo, aspen and paulownia, a biaxial fibreglass weave and our carbon spine from tip to tail that lets you pop ollies over slow signs. The Almanac also features an extra set of inserts for the front binding, allowing you to set your bindings back and enjoy a bit more float on deep snow days. The real deal. Go where you want, do what you want. Have fun. Enjoy the view on your board. What more could you ask for?
