The brand-new Copycat was developed hand-in-hand with long-time K2 team rider Kennedi Deck. The goal was to offer an all-in-one board that is ultra-playful for cruising around the resort, sending it in the park, and capable of handling any urban spot Kennedi throws at it. Throughout the R&D process, we tested a dozen different core profiles to meet Kennedi's exact expectations. To bring this vision to life, we opted for our Rhythm™ Core construction, designed specifically to offer plenty of torsional flex between the bindings. This makes it easier to twist the board with your feet when prepping for a trick, while giving the board an overall more relaxed, easier-to-handle feel. The Copycat's timeless, rounded twin shape pays homage to classic park boards, while its Combination Camber profile provides liveliness and grip, with a slight rocker at the nose and tail to keep the board smooth and catch-free. A biaxial fibreglass layup offers the perfect balance of flexibility and strength for a playful yet stable ride – while Carbon DarkWeb™ reinforcements extend from the inserts at 45-degree angles, adding pop, control, and confidence when engaging an edge or popping off a lip. To maintain speed in slow zones or during deep landings, the Sintered 4000 Base is robust, durable, and absorbs wax extremely well, allowing you to maintain speed on any type of snow.
