In terms of technical features, perfect fit and optimal responsiveness, the Thraxis is clearly the benchmark in the freeride category. As the stiffest and most supportive model in our collection, this snowboard boot is suitable for even the most demanding riders. The Thraxis's Zonal BOA® Fit System features three BOA® dials, two for zonal exterior lacing and one for K2's Conda™ controlled liner lacing system. By placing a flexible urethane "chip" at a 45° angle around the ankle, we have enabled riders to micro-adjust their boot and eliminate heel lift. To wrap the foot, we have used our most supportive liner, made of multi-density thermoformable Intuition® foam. This open-cell foam can be remoulded infinitely to achieve a perfect fit throughout the lifespan of the boot. The liner is equipped with our breathable and heat-reflecting Spaceheater™ material, which keeps riders warm and dry all day long. Finally, we have integrated a mesh made from 95% recycled coffee grounds from S'Café™ into the liner to eliminate unwanted odours after a long day on the slopes. Underfoot, the midsole combines lightweight, stable EVA with exclusive Harshmellow™ technology, which helps absorb impact, increases cushioning and provides a "quieter" feel when snowboarding.
