Recommendations
Weight | Our recommendations | Intended use 2-4 oz | Smallest boxing gloves for children | For juniors up to 5 years old 6 oz | Suitable for children aged 4-6, technical training, and apparatus training. | Gloves weighing up to 6 oz are designed for the youngest combat sports practitioners. 8 oz | For youth up to 15 years old, women with small hands, also used for taekwondo, technical training, and apparatus training. | The 8 oz size should be chosen by women; it is also suitable for training for youth and people with small hands. 10 oz | For adults with normal-sized hands, this versatile training glove is suitable for both training and competition. | 10 oz gloves are used in competitions and are perfect for apparatus training. Their relatively light weight facilitates the development of speed, reflexes, and punching precision. 12 oz | For adults and women with larger hands, this universal training glove size is suitable for sparring, competitions, equipment training, and technical training. | 12 oz gloves are the most versatile gloves. They are perfect for perfecting techniques, equipment training, and sparring. When choosing gloves for sparring, we must also consider the safety of our sparring partner. A heavier glove prevents high speed, which affects the force of the punch, so if you want to minimize the likelihood of injury and trauma, choose gloves weighing 12 oz or heavier. 14 oz | For men for technical training and sparring. | 14 oz gloves, thanks to the appropriate foam properties, thickness, and number of layers of padding used to absorb the force of blows, are the safest for sparring – the more padding in the punch zone, the safer the boxing gloves are for the sparring partner. 16 oz and above | For men, it's a training glove, designed for use with equipment and sparring, and is suitable for conditioning and endurance training. | 16 oz gloves are perfect for working on your strength and conditioning. Larger gloves make it easier to maintain a tight grip.
Beginners should avoid using gloves that are too heavy, as they can lead to technical errors. When learning proper striking techniques, gloves that are too heavy can cause the hands to drop too low, for example.
WARNING!
Boxing gloves do not provide complete protection against injuries!
Contamination, unauthorised modifications to the gloves, and improper use can significantly reduce their protective properties!
