MAVIC COSMIC SLR 45: THE ABSOLUTE BALANCE BETWEEN DYNAMISM, RESPONSIVENESS AND STABILITY The Mavic DNA: Performance without compromise The new Cosmic SLR 45 is not just an update; it's a complete re-engineering of the most versatile wheel. With its 23 mm internal width rim and ceramic bearings, it stands out as the centerpiece for cyclists looking to optimize their performance on all terrains. Lighter, more stable against crosswinds (Aero Wide Rim / Aero Spokes), and incredibly responsive thanks to the lack of rim bed (Fore Carbon), it offers predictive handling and immediate power transmission. Whether you're in full sprint or tackling a hill climb, it turns every pedal stroke into pure acceleration. The Cosmic SLR 45 transforms your bike into an ultra-efficient racing machine, no matter the profile of your ride. Main features Mavic Ceramic: a premium material, premium performance The Technology: Integration of high-precision ceramic balls for minimal friction. The Concrete Effect: An announced friction reduction of up to -28%. Beyond the numbers, it's a feeling of smoothness that persists mile after mile, particularly noticeable on flat, high-speed sections where inertia is preserved longer. Aero Wide Rim: Unmatched combination of speed, control, and comfort. The Technology: An aerodynamic profile optimized for 28 to 30 mm tires (internal width of 23 mm). The Concrete Effect: The tire is better supported, avoiding the 'balloon' effect. The trajectory is more precise when descending, and the side wind resistance is neutralized, allowing you to stay in an aero position longer, even in unstable winds. The Added Value: Increased comfort and grip without sacrificing aerodynamic drag. FORE: More stiffness and a sealed system for Tubeless. The Technology: The spokes are anchored directly into a metal insert integrated into the carbon layup, leaving the upper bridge of the rim intact. The Concrete Effect: You get a rim that is 40% stiffer in torsion. On the road, this translates to a complete absence of lateral blur during explosive accelerations. The Added Value: No rim bed. You eliminate the risk of leaks, save weight on the periphery, and make tire mounting easier. This is the most reliable tubeless solution on the market.
