Skandika and YouTube stars Sauerländer BBCrew have been a well-rehearsed team in outdoor cooking for many years. Now there is a special BBCrew edition of the Skandika Dutch oven – developed and thoroughly tested by the grill pros themselves! The enamel coating on the inside of this special edition offers major advantages not only when cooking, but also when it comes to cleaning, and the optimised feet significantly increase the stability of the pot.
Outdoor cooking – also indoors The Dutch oven brings delicious meals to any outdoor adventure, is incredibly versatile and very simple to use. It can be used almost anywhere: in the embers of a campfire, on briquettes in a charcoal grill, or at home in the oven.
High-quality enamel coating On this BBCrew special edition, the cast iron is enamelled. This hard-wearing protective layer offers very good non-stick properties and also helps prevent rust – clear advantages both during cooking and when it comes to care and maintenance.
Even heat distribution The pot has particularly thick walls and therefore excellent heat retention. A consistent base thickness helps to prevent the contents from cooking unevenly or burning.
Improved feet Thanks to the special shape of the feet, the Dutch oven stands stable and secure, even on a grill grate. The extra-high design means there is enough space underneath for larger briquettes while still allowing plenty of air to circulate.
Advantages of the protective layer The enamel coating cannot be scrubbed off or damaged by water. Dishes can be safely stored in this enamelled Dutch oven. It can even go in the dishwasher or be cleaned with hot water and a little washing-up liquid.
Multi-functional lid The lid of the Dutch oven doubles as an open pan and is equipped with sturdy feet for a secure stand (2.75 L). The enamelled lid also benefits from the non-stick properties, making it easy to prepare tasty dishes or sauces.
Practical opening The small notch in the pot and lid rim can be aligned to create a tiny opening. This allows you to insert a thermometer probe to monitor the core temperature of meat in the pot without fully lifting the lid.
Accessories included A lid lifter, a wooden cooking spoon and a BBQ glove in BBCrew design are all included. Everything comes packed in a robust BBCrew cotton carry bag with rucksack function, which is ideal not only for storing the Dutch oven but also for shopping or trips to the market.
Recipe variety It is not just classics like layered meat that turn out perfectly in this cast iron pot – cinnamon rolls, bread and cakes also bake brilliantly. To keep the inspiration flowing, the latest recipe book from the Sauerländer BBCrew is included with the Dutch oven.
