The Shimano CS-HG500 cassette is designed for 10-speed drivetrains and fits Deore 10V and GRX 10V groups. Its range of sprockets covers a wide spectrum of ratios to meet road and off-road cycling needs, notably All Mountain mountain biking.
Integrated Hyperglide technology ensures faster, smoother gear changes, reducing jolts when shifting sprockets and improving drivetrain responsiveness under load.
Primarily made of steel for optimal strength, this cassette features a solid, durable design intended to withstand heavy use and long distances without loss of performance.
Several gear combinations are available to tailor the gearing to your riding: 11-25, 12-28, 11-32, 11-34 and detailed progressions such as 11-13-15-17-19-21-23-26-30-34 or 11-13-15-18-21-24-28-32-37-42, offering choices for steep climbs or sustained speed.
Depending on the selected progression, weight may vary (e.g. 12-28: 295 g for the 12-13-14-15-17-19-21-23-25-28 progression). This information helps choose the cassette based on the desired weight/gear compromise.
