When you spend more days on the mountain than off, the Smith Nexus is your protective helmet that lasts season after season. With a hybrid shell that balances lightweight and discreet design with a durable hard shell exterior, the Nexus increases impact coverage with Koroyd® throughout the helmet, a fully ventilated material that absorbs more energy in the event of a collision than traditional foam construction alone. Added MIPS® provides enhanced safety during oblique impacts, making it our most advanced helmet design. Since all this protection is useless if you don’t want to wear it, we've enhanced comfort with a 360 micro-adjustable BOA® fit system that adapts to your entire head. An anti-sweat and anti-odor liner keeps you warm, while a design with 24 adjustable ventilation ports allows you to regulate airflow as needed. Specifications: Hybrid shell construction combines a durable outer with lightweight molded shell for durability where you need it most while keeping the helmet light. Full coverage Koroyd® for lightweight, energy-absorbing shock protection. The MIPS® brain protection system reduces rotational forces from oblique impacts to the head. The exoskeleton enhances impact protection in side impact zones. Certification: ASTM F 2040, CE EN 1077:2007 CLASS B. Fit/Integration: The AirEvac™ ventilation system integrates with Smith goggles for anti-fog lenses. Removable ear pads for a custom fit. The BOA® 360 fit system offers the most adjustable fit with a turn of a dial for on-the-fly micro-adjustment. The Fidlock® strap buckle allows for easy one-handed operation. Features: The Ionic+™ antimicrobial lining offers sweat-activated odor control. Dual regulator climate control makes it easy to adjust front and rear vents with one hand. Compatible with the Aleck™ audio system.
