Impact protection Skiing is classified as a high-risk sport, which means that the highest possible level of protection is required when practising it. The helmet offers impact protection, which increases the user's safety on the slopes.
EN 1077 certification This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has successfully passed collision and penetration tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking shock absorption through deformation, while the second part tests the strength of the shell during point impacts, e.g. from a ski pole.
Buckle fastening The chinstrap features a classic buckle fastening. It is simple to use, although fastening and unfastening it can be problematic when wearing winter gloves. It is suitable for helmets designed for slightly older children.
Soft ear pads Soft ear pads refer to a helmet design where the ear pads are not covered by the helmet shell. They are exceptionally soft and protect the ears from the cold without interfering with hearing. However, they do not provide protection against injuries that may occur in the event of an accident.
Polystyrene (EPS) inner shell Beneath the impact-resistant outer shell lies an inner layer of polystyrene. It has a varied density, and its main task is to absorb the force of an impact during an accident. It provides a good level of safety.
Size adjustment via a dial A classic adjustment system that allows for a precise fit of the helmet to the head circumference. Using a rotary dial, you can easily and quickly increase or decrease the helmet size within a range of several sizes. A properly fitted helmet increases safety while skiing.
ASTM F2040 certification This is an American safety standard, which is more stringent than the European CE 1077 ECC standard. The test involves dropping the helmet onto three types of impact anvils at different speeds. However, penetration tests and chinstrap tests are omitted. A helmet with this certification ensures safety during a collision.
