Impact protection Skiing is classified as a high-risk sport, which means that maximum protection is required when practising it. The helmet offers impact protection, increasing the user's safety on the slopes. Passive ventilation Ventilation channels permanently integrated into the helmet let fresh air in through the front openings and release excess heat and moisture through the rear ones. Thanks to this solution, goggles do not fog up, and the head is kept in comfortable conditions during activity. Ergonomic shape The ergonomic shape ensures high comfort while skiing. This helmet design allows for an undisturbed airflow, which also improves ventilation inside the shell. EN 1077 Certificate This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has successfully passed collision and puncture tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking absorption through deformation, while the second checks the strength of the shell during point impacts, e.g. with a ski pole. Buckle fastening The chinstrap features a classic buckle fastening. It is simple to use, although fastening and unfastening it can be problematic in winter gloves. It is suitable for helmets designed for slightly older children. Soft ear pads Soft ear pads refer to a helmet design where the ear pads are not covered by the helmet shell. They are exceptionally soft and protect the ears from the cold without interfering with hearing. However, they do not provide protection against injuries that may occur in the event of an accident. Polystyrene (EPS) inner shell Beneath the impact-resistant outer shell lies an inner layer of polystyrene. It has varying densities, and its main task is to absorb the force of an impact during an accident. It provides a good level of safety. ASTM F2040 Certificate This is an American safety standard, which is more stringent than the European CE 1077 ECC standard. The test involves dropping the helmet onto three types of impact anvils at various speeds. However, puncture tests and chinstrap tests are omitted.
