Carolina hammock and Inka Relax stand: maintenance and tips. The Carolina cotton hammock requires a machine wash at least once a year to preserve its quality. To prevent the hammock arms from tangling, it is recommended to tie them together before washing. It is important to avoid the tumble dryer and to store it in a dry place, away from damp and pests such as rodents, to prevent the appearance of mould on the cotton. The Inka Relax hammock stand, made of sturdy metal, offers an excellent load capacity, able to support up to 230 kg in normal use. Its design with an optimised height-to-length ratio guarantees optimal comfort when using the Carolina hammock. Although resistant, this stand is not made of stainless steel and requires regular maintenance to prevent rust. For the maintenance of the stand, it is advisable to use a specific metal paint, such as Hammerite. This paint can be applied directly onto the visible rust points, particularly where the tubes are in contact or around the bolts, areas where the paint wears more quickly. After several years of outdoor use, a complete coat of paint can restore a like-new appearance to the stand. Carolina cotton hammock, machine washable.
