What is the Fresh& Black technology that features on the AirSeconds 6.3 XXL Fresh& Black tent?

Cooler and darker for better sleep!

Fresh & Black is a technology patented by Decathlon that allows us to reflect the sun's rays and insulate from the light thanks to specific materials.

This reduces the sensation of heat in the tent and makes it darker.

To get the most out of this technology, don't forget to ventilate your tent at night!

Does the AirSeconds 6.3 XXL Fresh& Black protect from the sun?

Our Fresh&Black technology relies on a UPF 50+ sun protection fabric.

Caution: be careful, as a large amount of UV rays can get in through a simple open door.

How is the ventilation organised in the AirSeconds 6.3 XXL Fresh& Black inflatable tent?

The ventilated flysheet on the living room enables air to circulate and reduces condensation inside your tent.

There is an upper air vent outside the three rear bedrooms.

Inside, there is a lower air vent.

The bedrooms have mosquito nets at the top of the doors and at the base.

The living area has two mosquito nets, one at the top of the door and the other two on the wall.

How is the wind resistance of the AirSeconds 6.3 XXL Fresh&Black tent calculated?

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The aim is to expose each side of our tent to the same wind intensity.

Well pitched with the guy ropes properly anchored, this tent remains habitable in a force 7 wind, measured at 60 km/h.

Feel free to re-inflate your inflatable poles regularly during your stay at the campsite (7 Psi).

How is the AirSeconds 6.3 XXL Fresh& Black tent’s level of water resistance tested?

We test our tents to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory, 3 hours under 200 litres of water per hour per sqm, equivalent to 200 mm tropical rain per hour. The second test is carried out by our teams in the field in real conditions. This tent is fitted with a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet measuring 2,000 mm. It also has seams taped using heat-sealed strips and a 190 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet.

How to properly maintain the AirSeconds 6.3 XXL Fresh& Black tent

Our camping tents have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) when camping or in the great outdoors. Continued exposure to UV rays over several weeks can damage the fabric. These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To guarantee maximum robustness of your tent, it's important to store it when not in use.
