Design details

WADDING THERMAL INSULATION
Thermal insulation keeps the skier or snowboarder at the right temperature: not too warm, nor too cold. The garment then adapts to the physical behaviour of the body and the outside environment. We use wadding for insulation to keep you warm. The wadding is a synthetic material with a polyester base that stores a greater or lesser quantity of air depending on the size of fibres used. The thicker the wadding, the more air there is, and the warmer it is.
COATING TREATMENT
The coating is a waterproof "material" that is applied to the inside of the outer fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows the water vapour produced by an active body to escape. So you will stay dry and comfortable.
WATERTIGHT MAIN SEAMS
As well as the waterproof material, waterproof seams are incorporated to strength the waterproofing of the Evoslide jacket. These are waterproof adhesive strips fixed to the inside seams of the garment to make it perfectly watertight. These taped seams are present on the areas most exposed to snow. These are usually located on the shoulders and chest.
SNOW SKIRT
The snow skirt represents a protective system at the bottom of the skiing or snowboarding jacket. It prevents snow and air from seeping in when skiing, especially in the event of a fall.
SKI PASS POCKET
You no longer need to get your ski pass out because your sleeve has a ski pass pocket to allow you to access the cable cars quickly.
CUSTOMISATION
Label in the lining in the back to write your child's name and personalise their jacket. Handy when you want to find your jacket after ski school, at nursery or at school!
A mark to compare the environmental footprint of various products
The product's environmental footprint is calculated for its entire life and with various indicators. A score of A, B, C, D or E is made to help you easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of a similar type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks). For Decathlon, this initiative to display environmental data is a priority. Video explanation: https://youtu.be/8t63KkRwn_8 sustainability.decathlon.com
