Description

Design details

Living room
Square living room with an area of 6.25 sqm and a maximum height of 2.25 m. Door height: 1.75 m (middle of the door) Removable groundsheet. Turn your Air Seconds Base Connect Fresh into a 2 person tent by adding the Base Connect bedroom (ref.: 8602697)
Pitching and dismantling
All-in-one inflatable structure with a single inflation point for easy inflation. Once inflated the structure is free-standing, i.e. you can move it to a different location very easily. Thanks to a bellows system, you can connect it with your tent or van. Two poles are provided with the living room so you can lift up the door in courtyard mode. To make it easier, we recommend that 2 people pitch the tent although 1 person is possible.
Sun protection
The Ti0² -coated fabric is SPF 50+. Caution: A large amount of UV rays can pass through an open door. Protect your skin with sunscreen.
Ventilation
Two openings opposite each other in addition to the side door with a mosquito net.
Wind resistance
We test all our living rooms in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The goal is to expose each side of our living room to the same wind intensity. Properly pitched, with the guy ropes deployed, this living room remains habitable in wind speed 7, measured at 60 km/h. Feel free to re-inflate your inflatable poles regularly during your stay at the campsite (7 PSI).
Waterproofing
We test our living rooms to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory, 4 hours under 200 litres of water per hour per sqm, the equivalent of tropical rain of 200 mm per hour. The second test is done in the field under real-life conditions by our teams. This living room is fitted with a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet measuring 2,000 mm. It also has seams that have been waterproofed with heat-sealed strips, and a 140 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Because we are aware that we must act to preserve our playground, Quechua is committed to limiting the environmental impact of its products. Today, this product is not eco-designed, but we work every day to make it more responsible: eco-design, repairability and sustainability are at the heart of our developments.
Poles and tent pegs
Inflatable poles - All our inflatable poles have a two-layer arch structure: a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) air chamber and a 600-denier polyester cover*. Living room reinforcement - There's an aluminium bar in the living room to stiffen the structure. Tent pegs - All our pegs are made of steel and have a diameter of 6 mm. *600 denier indicates a weight of 600 g for 9 m length.
Maintenance advice
Our camping living rooms have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) when camping or in the great outdoors. Continued exposure to UV rays over several weeks can damage the fabric. These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To guarantee maximum durability of your living room, it's important to store it when not in use.
