Primus Essential Trail Stove is a no-nonsense, reliable backpacking stove designed for simplicity, durability and everyday outdoor use. Built with Primus’ Laminar Flow Burner technology, it offers a low centre of gravity and improved wind resistance, making it more stable than many traditional top-mounted stoves. Weighing around 110–114g, it’s still lightweight enough for backpacking while delivering a strong 2500W output, capable of boiling 1 litre of water in around 3.5 minutes. The wider burner head and precise control valve make it particularly good for simmering and real cooking, not just boiling water. It’s quick to set up (just screw onto a gas canister and light), and its fixed pot supports with wind shielding help maintain a consistent flame in breezy conditions.
