A lightweight, versatile racing bike saddle with a low profile, carbon-reinforced nylon shell and carbon rails for balanced performance in a variety of riding situations. It's a name that has appeared in nearly every Grand Tour over the past two decades, earning podium spots in the Tour de France, Giro and Vuelta over and over again - and it only gets better with age. It's calledAntares.Since its launch in the early 2000s, our Antares racing saddle has been a favorite of the sport's top athletes, riders like Chris Froome, Vincenzo Nibali, Alejandro Valverde, Greg Van Avermaet, Wout van Aert - and even last year's TDF winner Jonas Vingegaard. And now Antares is back and better than ever.Take your place in the winner's circle with the all new Antares. As part of the new generation of Antares saddles, the Antares R1 retains many of the iconic design features that made the original saddle one of the most popular among top athletes.Antares is a low-profile saddle with a nose-to-wing transition that allows for efficient pedaling in all riding positions. Whether you're attacking a climb or keeping pace on flat ground, this saddle is designed to support you. Forward and backward movement has been facilitated by a flatter, slightly wider nose that acts as an optimal base from which to generate power.Antares features an ergonomic cutout, developed from detailed pressure analysis and medical expert input, that helps relieve pressure and facilitate blood flow. In addition, the low-profile padding was designed with dual-density foam, firmer on the pins and softer on the nose, to provide each rider with the right amount of support in any position without creating excessive pressure.Antares is designed for riders looking for a performance saddle that doesn't sacrifice comfort. As a performance option, Antares is race-proven with athletes around the world, from road racing to cyclocross and cross-country.Details: Low-profile performance saddle designed to provide an optimal connected feel for pedaling and power transfer.
