The Vango Atlas 250 is built for explorers who value a combination of warmth and portability when traversing diverse landscapes. This sleeping bag serves as a reliable retreat after an intensive day of hiking or cycling through the countryside. The mummy shape is a deliberate design choice; by tapering towards the feet, it minimizes the amount of excess air inside the bag. This allows your body to heat the internal space much more efficiently, ensuring you stay warm throughout the night even when temperatures begin to drop. Its lightweight construction makes it easy to carry in a backpack, making it a favorite for those moving from one campsite to another.
Ease of use is integrated into every aspect of this sleeping bag. The two-way auto-lock zipper is a standout feature, allowing for versatile ventilation. If you find yourself becoming too warm, you can easily unzip from the bottom to let air circulate without fully opening the bag. The zipper is designed with a guard to prevent it from snagging on the interior lining, ensuring smooth operation during the night. Furthermore, an internal pocket provides a secure location for small items such as a headlamp or mobile phone, keeping them close at hand. When the morning arrives, the included stuff sack ensures that the bag can be compressed and packed away in seconds, allowing you to resume your journey without delay.
Technically, the Atlas 250 utilizes Grade A quality siliconised hollow fiber insulation. This advanced filling is designed to maintain its loft and trap air effectively, providing consistent warmth without adding unnecessary bulk. The exterior shell and internal lining are crafted from Polair 190T polyester, a material selected for its softness against the skin and its breathable properties, which help manage moisture for a dry sleeping. The single-layer stitch-through construction is utilized to keep the insulation evenly distributed across the entire bag, effectively eliminating cold spots that could disrupt your rest.
This sleeping bag is rated for two-season use, making it ideal for spring and summer excursions. The insulation performance is optimized for typical European conditions, providing a comfort level that supports deep sleep. The Deep Atlantic Green color is not only visually appealing but also practical for outdoor use, as it effectively masks dust and dirt acquired during your travels. With its robust materials and thoughtful design, the Atlas 250 offers a practical solution for anyone looking to enjoy the thrill of sleeping outdoors with reliable protection against the evening chill.
