Measuring your chest to choose the right sports bra size
It's essential to choose the right size of sports bra to keep your breasts supported and comfortable. Here's how: - In front of a mirror, use a tape measure; - Hold your tape measure horizontally at the top of your back towards the bottom of your shoulder blades; - Bring the tape measure across the fullest part of your bust; - Take the measurement without pulling it tight; Use our online calculator for more precision.
Why is it important to protect your chest during sports?
Did you know that your breasts are supported almost entirely by the skin? This makes them fragile, and during sport they are put under even more strain than usual. The movements and bouncing they undergo can even make them up to 5 times heavier, depending on the intensity of the exercise. Wearing a sports bra offers the support, comfort and protection your breasts need. It also protects them from impacts, pain and premature sagging.
Which activities is this seamless medium support muscle back sports bra designed for?
With this medium-support sports bra, you can take part in all moderate-impact activities like dancing, fitness, cardio-training, cycling, etc. while providing optimum protection for your breasts.
Stay dry, even when working up a sweat! How is this possible with the medium-support muscle back seamless bra?
You give it your all during your workout and often end up soaking wet. That's not always a pleasant feeling, right?!Well, thanks to this sports bra, you can say goodbye to sweat-related moisture. The technical fabric it's made from wicks perspiration away from the body.It also dries faster to keep you dry. We've also included a ventilated area between the breasts for greater comfort.
What type of cups does the seamless medium-support muscle back sports bra have?
This sports bra has two flexible, single-layer cups (un-lined).
What size to choose for the seamless, muscle back, medium-support sports bra?
This sports bra is available in sizes XS to XL, and is recommended for cup sizes up to a C. The muscle back, typical of a sports bra, spreads support across the back. For cup sizes from a D and up, we've developed other models that are better suited.
How should you care for this seamless muscle back medium-support sports bra?
Designed for intensive sports use, this sports bra is totally resistant to frequent washing. We recommend washing it at no more than 30°C and placing it in our specially designed laundry bag (ref. 8505236). It cannot be put in the tumble dryer.
How do we check the support levels offered by Decathlon's sports bras?
Our laboratories conduct breast support tests that assess the reduction in the breasts' acceleration during a sports activity. They are assessed then classified into 3 levels: 1 for light support, 3 for medium support and 5 for high support.
What is it about the medium-support muscle back seamless sports bra that gives you such freedom of movement?
When you're doing sport, it's vital to feel comfy in your movements. That means opting for clothes that allow you to move freely. This sports bra has been designed with this in mind. We've given it a muscle back to free up the shoulder blades so you can move your arms more easily.
High, medium or light support: why have different levels?
Sport puts stress on the breasts, stretching the skin and ligaments. Lack of adequate support can cause pain or premature sagging. But too much support can also have harmful consequences. It's therefore essential to make sure that your sports bra offers the right level of support for your cup size and the intensity of the impacts. The idea is to protect your chest while preserving the breasts' natural movement.
How are Decathlon's sports bras designed?
Decathlon sports bras are designed to maximise your comfort and prevent health problems. The absence of underwiring reduces the risk of injury and of compressing the lymph nodes. By getting rid of seams over the nipples, we reduce the risk of chafing. And by prioritising perspiration-wicking fabrics, we keep you comfortable while significantly reducing the risk of skin irritation.
Which sport to associate with which level of support?
Depending on the type of sport you do, the level of support of your sports bra will vary. We offer 3 options: - Level 1: light support for activities that cause gentle breast movement (Pilates, stretching, strength training, etc.); - Level 3: medium support for activities that lead to a moderate level of bounce (dancing, fitness, cardio training, etc.); - Level 5: high support for activities involving intensive movements (step aerobics, running, trampolining, etc.).
