Motor Assist and Adjustable Speed: The HillMiles MilePort 1 electric city bike uses a 36V 250W brushless hub motor, achieving a top speed of 25 km/h. Power assist works in conjunction with a 7-speed drivetrain, allowing riders to select the appropriate cadence or assist mode based on starting, flat surfaces, and moderate inclines. The motor assists riding, rather than replacing the rider's control; therefore, riders should choose an appropriate speed based on traffic conditions, road surface, and weather. Published performance data is based on reference testing conditions; in real-world riding, factors such as rider weight, tire pressure, temperature, incline, and frequent stops will affect acceleration, speed, and energy consumption. Battery Capacity and Actual Range: Energy is provided by a removable 36V 13Ah battery, equivalent to 468Wh. Under product reference conditions, the officially published assisted range is 80-100 km. The battery is removable for convenient indoor charging; a full charge using the included charger takes approximately 6-7 hours. Range is not fixed: Assist level, load, gradient, wind, road conditions, temperature, tire pressure, and frequent start-stop cycles will all affect the range after each charge. Charge in a dry, well-ventilated area, use only the specified charger, and check the connectors before use. Charge periodically during storage to ensure the battery is always ready for use. Braking control and riding visibility: The HillMiles MilePort 1 features 160mm mechanical disc brakes front and rear for speed control. This braking configuration allows the rider to independently control the front and rear wheels, while the electric assist stops according to the instructions in the product controls. The foldable straddle frame, front and rear fenders, rear rack, LED headlight, display, and side brackets all incorporate visibility features and reflective elements. Before each ride, check brake response, brake pad and disc condition, cable or hose routing, and the working of all lights. Actual braking distance will vary depending on speed, load, tire grip, rain, and road contamination, so allow a safe distance, slow down early, and obey traffic rules applicable to e-bikes in your riding area. Tires, Suspension, and Load Capacity: The 20 x 3.0-inch all-terrain wide tires, paired with a spring-suspension fork, effectively handle vibrations from ordinary roads and uneven urban surfaces. Product data shows a total weight of 22.5 kg and a maximum load capacity of 120 kg. These figures help riders assess handling, parking, and transport needs without overstating performance. Proper tire pressure is crucial for grip, efficiency, and braking; load should be consistent and evenly distributed to avoid affecting steering, wheels, or brakes. Regularly check the tires, rims, spokes or wheels, suspension fasteners, and axle hardware, especially after riding on rough terrain. Everyday Gear and Practical Design: A foldable, low-slung frame, front and rear fenders, a rear rack, LED headlights and brake lights, a display screen, and side stands make it highly practical for everyday use. This bicycle is designed for commuting, errands, and mixed urban routes while retaining core bicycle handling features. Adjust the seat and handlebars within the marked areas, ensure the quick-release mechanism and folding mechanism are fully locked, and test the brakes before setting off. Do not allow loose clothing or luggage near the chain and wheels. Clean the bicycle with a soft, damp cloth, avoid using a pressure washer to clean electrical components, and follow the maintenance schedule in the user manual. Careful setup and regular checks will ensure the bicycle maintains good handling, usability, and reliable performance over many rides.
