The Nexave is available in sizes 6000 and 8000, making it perfect for specimen or heavy fishing, where larger reel sizes make fishing easier, especially for casting long distances or catching big fish that fight very hard with great power.Combining low cost with Shimano's reputation for quality, the Nexave is an excellent reel for beginners or for occasional use when specimen fishing. Featuring a superb multi-disc front drag for confident fishing, especially when targeting powerful, combative fish, the Nexave also boasts a lightweight aluminium spool combined with AR-C line management usually found on much more expensive models. To maximize your casting performance, whether with nylon or braid, Shimano 's exclusive Varispeed line installation produces a very smooth winding, reducing friction as it leaves the spool. In use, the superb smoothness and power produced by the high-quality bearings and 4.9:1 gear ratio are immediately noticeable, inspiring confidence and increasing pleasure wherever you fish.
