The SLX DC is one of the flagship models from the very popular SLX series. Known for its value for money and ease of use, this SLX DC model features the I-DC4 Digital Control casting system from Shimano, which automatically optimises casting performance across a wide range of lines, conditions, and casting techniques. The SLX DC is compact, flexible, and offers unmatched value. The SHIMANO DC system allows for effortless casting and is now accessible to a wide audience worldwide. The SLX DC maintains all the qualities of the original models and enhances them with the digital I-DC4 control system from Shimano. This brilliant technology can be set to one of four modes to maximise your casting performance while reducing backlashes and other issues. Available in two sizes, the 150/151 sizes offer great versatility, while the smaller size 70/71 is perfect for casting lighter lures. The I-DC4 digital control, a Shimano exclusive, seamlessly integrates with the compact body of the SLX DC. The modes are as follows: Mode 1 is designed for maximum distance (less magnetic braking). Mode 2 is specifically designed for fishing with braid. Mode 3 is for fishing with fluorocarbon. Mode 4 offers maximum control (the highest magnetic braking) for applications like skipping. Once set, the onboard microcomputer, which powers itself by generating its own electricity, takes care of everything, leaving you to aim and cast. Like all SLX models, the HAGANE aluminium frame creates a perfect body for precision gearing, and the S3D aluminium spool reduces vibrations during casting and retrieval. The SLX DC is hard to beat when looking for a hassle-free digital casting reel. The combination of these casting technological advantages at this attractive price makes the SLX DC an unbeatable choice for any lure angler.
