The Beal Joker 9.1 mm rope is designed for use as a single, half, and double rope, making it suitable for short indoor routes, multi-pitch climbs paired with a second strand, ridge climbs, classic, mixed, or snow routes, and mountaineering. Its thinness is primarily aimed at experienced climbers seeking versatility and lightweight.
The UNICORE® technology securely bonds the core to the sheath to limit internal slippage in case of sheath damage and improve the rope's longevity. This process enhances safety and product traceability.
The Dry Cover (DCVR) treatment impregnates the sheath to reduce water absorption, decrease drag on edges, and lower shock force. The treated sheath also helps maintain the rope's flexibility and reduced sheath slippage (0 mm sheath slippage).
Diameter 9.1 mm, length 50 m, weight 52 g/m, dynamic elongation 34-37%, static elongation 8-10%, maximum shock force 8.2 kN (single). UIAA fall rating: 5 (single), 20 (half), and >25 (double). Complies with EN 892 standards.
Rope with a reduced diameter intended for experienced users: its low diameter requires advanced belaying technique mastery and may alter device behavior (reduced braking on some devices or incompatibility with certain automatic systems).
