Friend Alien X - Modern classic among micro cams
The Alien X Red is the perfect choice for traditional climbers looking for reliable, lightweight, and versatile friends for protection in the toughest conditions.
The Alien X Red is the sixth generation of the legendary protective micro cams, first patented in 1986 in Colorado. For decades, they have become an icon among climbers, and now they return in a new, improved version, combining traditional character with modern technologies.
The greatest asset of the Alien X is its excellent performance in narrow cracks and unmatched flexibility. This allows the micro cams to hold well in uneven fissures and absorb rope movements, minimizing the risk of accidental withdrawal. The new X-Grip textured lobes provide even better grip from the first use, giving greater confidence during placement.
Additionally, the three largest sizes can also be used as passive points, making them even more versatile. The redesigned, enlarged puller facilitates manipulation, whether you are climbing without gloves or in winter conditions.
The entire product features a solid, compact construction with metal rivets and durable connections, ensuring that the Alien X is equipment for years to come.
Product features:
X-Grip Texture – new lobe texture increasing grip
Ergonomic puller – easier manipulation even with gloves
Lightweight and compact design – minimum weight and space on the harness
Flexibility and excellent performance in cracks – absorbs rope movements, preventing withdrawal
Color-coded size markings – a standard among climbers for over 30 years
Handcrafted in Barcelona.
