The Therm-a-Rest Trail Scout L offers the perfect introduction to the world of self-inflating sleeping mats. Designed for those who want to swap their basic foam mat for more comfort, this mat provides a stable and soft surface for a restorative night's sleep. Whether you are setting up camp after a long day of hiking or spending a weekend at a campsite, the Trail Scout L ensures you don't feel the uneven ground beneath you. Its generous dimensions make it particularly suitable for taller adventurers who need that extra bit of space to move comfortably.
Setting up your sleeping spot becomes effortless thanks to the smart self-inflating technology. Simply open the valve, and the open-cell foam core automatically fills with air. A few additional breaths allow you to adjust the firmness exactly to your preference. When it's time to move on, the mat compresses easily into a compact package that fits perfectly in your backpack. This user-friendly design means you spend less time on logistics and more time enjoying your surroundings.
Technically, the Trail Scout L excels with an R-value of 3.1, making it a reliable companion for three-season use. This thermal resistance ensures that ground cold is effectively blocked, keeping you warm during chilly spring or autumn nights. The exterior is made of robust 75D polyester, which can withstand the challenges of various terrains. The high-quality polyurethane foam inside provides consistent support and maintains its shape even after frequent use.
One of the most important technical features is the WingLock valve. This innovative system offers a one-way inflation process, preventing air from escaping while you top it off. It also features a significantly larger opening than traditional valves, allowing for three times faster airflow. This means the mat is ready for use in no time and can be deflated and packed away just as quickly when the next stage of your journey begins. -Brand: Therm-a-Rest -Type: Self-inflating sleeping mat -Size: Large -Dimensions: 196 x 64 cm -Thickness: 2.5 cm -Weight: 940 grams -R-Value: 3.1 (ASTM F3340-18) -Material: 75D Polyester, Polyurethane foam -Valve Type: WingLock Valve -Color: Deep Forest -Packed Size: 33 x 20 cm -Included: Stuff sack
