We ask that you stop using this helmet
Despite a rigorous quality process, we have identified that several batches of the EXPL500 and ST500 helmets do not meet regulatory requirements. A plastic part at the back of the helmet holding the chinstrap can break. If this happens, the helmet may no longer be held in place upon impact during a fall.
To check whether your helmet is affected by this defect, please go to the link below. You will be asked to select the batch number of your helmet, and you will be guided through the process.
If your helmet is affected, we ask that you go to a Decathlon store of your choice with your helmet to exchange it or be reimbursed. If you purchased your helmet online, please contact the customer relations team.

Why is this product recalled?
We have identified an overturning risk for the user.
In case of reversing, there is a drowning risk because the child is tied by the buoy and his head could remain underwater without any possibility of finding back the right position.
Even if the use of our buoy must be under parent’s supervision, we don’t want to take any risk to children's safety, that is why, by way of precaution, we recall all products involved.
We invite you to go to the reception of your nearest DECATHLON store.
Your product will be refunded to you.
