Jacket tested as sailing clothing
Clothing can contain a large volume of air that restricts the self-righting performance.
The pyramid-shaped structure takes account of this factor to facilitate the self-righting of an person onto their back, so that their respiratory tract remains free.

Why is this jacket so voluminous?
The standard requires the jacket to self-right an child onto their back, when wearing a swimsuit.
Children are usually clothed when on boats. Since clothes contain air, self-righting can be more difficult. To meet this requirement, we have developed a jacket that self-rights an child (10-15 kg) onto their back with their clothing.
We achieved this by working on the position and shape of the foam, which explains its volume.

This jacket protects the safety of children and reassures parents
The jacket is designed to offer a positive experience for both parents and children:
- there is a handle on the neck to control movements
- the neck fabric is soft against the skin
- tests were performed with a physiotherapist to make sure that the life jacket does not restrict freedom of movement

We recommend that you do not wear the life jacket directly against your skin, and, ideally, to wear an anti-UV T-shirt to protect children's skin, which is very sensitive to UV rays, or a least a T-shirt.
