History of the Decathlon Adapted Sports and Parasports Teams
The Decathlon Adapted Sports and Parasports team has a mission to make sports accessible, including to people with disabilities, by offering wheelchairs adapted for basketball. Our team is driven by the quality criteria of comfort and user independence. The Adjustable Basketball Wheelchair BW500 26" has been developed (designed and tested) in collaboration with people with disabilities to offer a wheelchair adapted to players' needs.

The Basketball Wheelchair BW500 26" is recognised as a medical device. It is certified to the EN 12183 standard by the CERAH organisation, which checks in advance that the product meets all required criteria.

Maintaining your basketball wheelchair
Each week:
- Check the tyre pressure to ensure it glides smoothly.
- Regularly clean and grease the quick wheel release axles.
Quarterly:
- Check the wear of the front tyres, the performance of the front and rear bearings and the rotation of the forks.
- Oil moving parts (wheel release axles).
- Replace parts if needed.
- Use silicone oil as a lubricant.

Aluminium 7020 alloy frame. The centre of gravity is set at 14 cm. It can be adjusted to meet the needs of users and offer comfort while training and competing in wheelchair basketball.

DRYING IN A TUMBLE DRYER POSSIBLE. NORMAL TEMPERATURE, MAXIMUM EXHAUST AIR TEMPERATURE OF THE DRUM 80°C.
