Introduced exactly two decades ago, our Tempo Aliante saddle took the cycling world by storm in 2003 with its innovative design that prioritizes rider comfort-so much so that it was even dubbed "the sofa" in France-and has been supporting long-distance cyclists ever since. To mark Aliante's 20th anniversary, we're introducing our latest version of this timeless design.Comfort makes a comeback with the all-new Tempo Aliante...As part of the new generation of Aliante saddles, theAliante R3 retains the key features that have made this family of saddles iconic and one of the most comfortable in Fizik's entire lineup.Aliante is a wavy saddle that features a gradual, tapered transition from fender to nose. With a slightly wider platform to support the pins, it improves stability and weight distribution for all-day riding. With an emphasis on comfort, the newly redesigned Aliante saddle features a flatter surface to allow for more even pressure distribution and a balanced feel, especially useful during extended endurance rides.Aliante features an ergonomic cutout, developed from detailed analysis and input from medical experts, that helps relieve pressure and facilitate blood flow. In addition, the generous padding was designed with dual density foam, firmer on the pins and softer on the nose, to provide each rider with the right support in any riding position without creating excessive pressure.Details: Wavy profile saddle designed to maximize comfort, support and pressure relief. R3: Combination of a carbon reinforced nylon shell and a hollow Kium rail with a high strength to weight ratio. Wingflex: The side edges of the shell flex and adapt to the internal movement of the rider's leg.
