WF4 + 125 m backing (20 lbs)

WF5 + 100 m backing (20 lbs)

BALANCING

It is essential to balance your rod and reel outfit. The HRK R1 reel is an ideal choice to balance a 9' #4/5 or a 10' #3/4. A 10' #3/4 rod, due to its length, would not be properly balanced by a smaller reel designed for 3/4 lines. This applies for both dry fly fishing and for nymphing.

DRAG ADJUSTMENT

It is recommended to never store your reel with the drag tight. During use, be careful not to set your drag too tight to avoid breaking on a big fish. The progressive drag control makes it possible not to block the reel with one rotation of the knob and thus to be able to adjust the tension throughout the fight without being caught unawares.

DESIGN

Our reels have been developed by our teams of engineers and designers in France in Cestas.

In the heart of the Gironde and close to many fishing spots such as the large lakes of South West, Pyrenean rivers and even the Atlantic Ocean, we design, test and improve our products on a daily basis so they are both light and resistant.

Our reels are also tested and approved by several anglers: team members, customers, and even fishing guides.
