TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Why use a stiff skate for beginning and improving?

The cuff (the plastic part on top, also known as a "spoiler") has been developed with one aim in mind: offering optimal foot support. And for (even more) support, the skate has a micrometric buckle, 1 strap, and laces. This support really makes the difference for learning and making progress. The foot is supported and the ankle is mobile so you can face asphalt and urban obstacles (sidewalks, kerbs, etc). This support also promotes good posture.

The double sizing system on the MF140 skates

The MF140 skates offer a special double sizing system. The liner was designed to adapt to two sizes.

The triple tightening system allows you to adapt the skate to each foot and ensures comfort and support.

Choose your usual size.

What's the difference between the FIT100 beginner's model and the MF500 freeride model? (1/2)

This new skate in the Decathlon skate range has been designed for people who want to start and improve, with an assembly adapted to promote good posture and quick progress.

The FIT100 skate has a softer boot for comfort during long outings in a straight line. The MF140 offers more support for exploring the city and its sidewalks, with frequent changes of direction and different types of ground.

What's the difference between the FIT100 beginner's model and the MF500 freeride model? (2/2)

The MF500 model is the evolution of the MF500, because it offers a similar boot structure with an aluminium frame that is more reactive when the level of skating is more advanced (introducing jumps, faster changes of direction, and more technical stops).

Are these skates versatile, or can they only be used for freeride?

Versatile inline skates par excellence, they combine optimal glide quality for beginners (76 mm/80 A wheels and ABEC 5 bearings to control your glide), and extreme manoeuvrability (short, strong frame).

What braking system do these freeride skates use?

The full brake, pad & brake mount can be fitted to the left or right foot (supplied unmounted).

The brake pad is available in the roller skating department (depending on the store) or online.

How can you make your skates last longer?

To extend the lifespan of your skates after skating through water, dust or sand, take the wheels off, dry them and degrease the bearings with a dry cloth.

How can you make the wheels last longer?

It's normal to switch your wheels around because they don't wear out evenly. The reason? We often skate with our feet sloping slightly inwards when we push off and turn.

If you want to stop them wearing out, switch your wheels around (in pairs).

What is the maximum weight for these MF 140 skates?

These adult skates meet the EN 13843 class A standard (adult inline skate standard). This standard applies to "Roller sports equipment - inline skates" designed for a person weighing between 20 kg and 100 kg. This European standard defines the safety requirements and the specifications for the test methods, markings, and information provided by the manufacturer, with the aim of reducing the risk of injury.
