THE WINNING COMBINATION OF CUSHIONING AND PROPULSION
The new VFOAM (Pebax® technology) developed with Arkema provides both comfort and energy transfer. The dynamic material (Pebax®) is placed under the areas where pressure on the foot is highest when it comes in contact with the ground (foot, metatarsals). This Pebax® material is combined with a denser EVA on the outer edge of the sole that facilitates a good foot movement.
NO COMPROMISE WHEN IT COMES TO COMFORT
In order to run regularly over long distances, foot comfort is of the utmost importance.
So, we tried to improve the level of comfort with the following:
- an ultra-comfortable 'half-slipper' upper
- enhanced cushioning at the forefoot thanks to a thicker sole
- redesigned forefoot area to prevent discomfort
- one-piece, seamless fabric to limit the risks of chafing

LIGHTNESS
The weight of a running shoe has a significant effect on energy expenditure and hence, the performance of the runner:the lighter the shoe, the higher the performance. The VFOAM has been selected for its low weight. Our engineers have also worked on optimising the weight of the KD500 2 and on the sole geometry specially developed using a generative design process (computer-assisted design):more lugs on the areas that are used more.
EXCELLENT ROAD-HOLDING ABILITY ON WET ROADS AND BENDS
Our sole is designed like a car tyre for running performance without losing control in wet conditions.
The new geometry of the sole combined with a high-performance rubber gives the KIPRUN KD500 2 excellent grip on wet ground, even at high speeds.
