TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Capacity and compartments

40 litres. Recommended for 2 to 4 people.

2 x 20L compartments with multiple pockets and storage to make it easy to organise your picnics:

- 1 is a cooler pocket to conserve your food and drink, with elastic straps to secure bottles and 2 mesh pockets for your ice packs,

- 1 is multi-purpose for storing your accessories (plates, cutlery, glasses, etc.) and your sports/leisure equipment.

Use the elastic straps on top if you don’t have enough room.

Dimensions

General dimensions, see above.

The isothermal compartment has a 10 mm thick insulating, wraparound wall made from Polyethylene (PE) foam.

To make the two compartments, isothermal and multi-purpose, the bag is divided in two width-ways by an insulating wall. Each compartment is 14 cm wide.

Folding: for more space just fold it by laying it flat. The thickness is reduced to 4 cm.

Isothermal

We have laboratory tested this cooler according to the EN 12546-2 standard, at an ambient temperature of 32°C, without ice packs and half full. It took 5 hours to go from 5°C (food temperature straight from the fridge) to 15°C.

By adding 1.2 kg of ice, the time to go from 5°C to 15°C increased to 8 hours in the same conditions.

Recommendations for use for more insulation

To improve the thermal properties of your cooler, we recommend:

- using cold packs,

- leaving your cooler in the shade,

- only opening it when necessary and quickly closing it.

WATERPROOFING

this rucksack is not waterproof inside. The bottom of this rucksack doesn't hold in water.

Condensation is created inside the bag and some drops of water may seep through the seams. Don’t worry, this rarely happens and won't damage your food.

CARRYING COMFORT

You can carry your cooler in two different ways: by hand with the central handle or on the shoulder with the two loops.

Robustness

We use a 600 denier polyester fabric to strengthen the bag base and increase the bag’s resistance and Robustness in an outdoor.
