TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

New EDR bikes

EDR, which stands for EnDuRance, is the new line of bikes from Van Rysel dedicated to performance.

But make no mistake, "endurance" and "speed" are not mutually exclusive! That is the challenge that our design team took up in creating this new line.

EDR frames are the perfect answer for competitive riders looking for a bike that is as good in the mountains as it is on bike paths.

The perfect combination of rigidity, low weight and comfort, will allow you to leave your past records in the dust

EDR frame and fork

Weighing only 890 grammes (net, size M), the EDR frame and fork are made with high modulus carbon fibre that provides excellent rigidity, making it responsive to every acceleration.

Fork weight: 382g

The fibre design is designed to satisfy the needs of the most demanding climbers and racers both in the mountains and on the flats. It meets all the requirements of high level amateur and pro riders.Press-fit 86 bottom bracket and Di2 compatible frame.

DEDA ZERO 2 Handlebar and Stem

DEDA ZERO 2 handlebar

The Zero 2 handlebar features DEDA's patented compact RHM (rapid hand movement) geometry and an aerodynamic cross-section, making it easy and comfortable to hold.

The DEDA Zero 2 is made from a lightweight 6061 alloy for reliability and durability.

End-end width: XS, S: 400 mm; M, L, XL: 420 mm.

SRAM FORCE disc brakes

The SRAM FORCE brake levers provide progressive and precise braking

The brake guard can be adjusted to perfectly suit the cyclist

Front disc: 160mm

Rear disc: 140mm

A wearing-in period is required. Just do a set of 20 progressive brakes at a low speed (20 km/h), then a second set at 30 km/h. Make sure to bed in both brakes.

Bedding in creates more friction between the disc and brake pad.

ZIPP 303 S wheels

The 303 S wheel from ZIPP has the latest technologies on the market. 100% carbon tubeless ready hookless wheel.

It has a 45mm profile height, a very versatile profile that allows racers to cover all terrains.

Internal width of 23mm to handle 28mm cross-section tyres.

Pressure between 2 and 5 bars maximum.

Weight per pair: 1530g

VITTORIA CORSA N.EXT tyres

Size: 700 x 28 C

This bike comes with inner tubes. It also comes with tubeless valves and sealant in case you want to switch to a tubeless set-up.

The Vittoria N.EXT tyre is one of the brand's most recent developments with a nylon carcass (100 TPI); this flexible tyre weighs 300g.

This tyre, inspired by racing technologies, ensures excellent rolling quality with an extended life span thanks to its mixed composition (graphene + silica)

Cross section

The frame is compatible with tyres with a max cross section of 28mm

Drive train maintenance

We want to draw your attention to the need for regular drive train maintenance, particularly if you're riding in difficult conditions (wet and/or dirty roads).

Regular maintenance helps your drive train to last longer.

You should regularly check your chain with our chain wear indicator,

which is available on our website.

Drive train life span

When buying a bike, it's important to take into account the cost of servicing it, especially as regards the drivetrain.

The amounts below are averages and are given so that you have a general idea of what to expect. They will of course vary depending on the care you take of your drivetrain.

The average lifespan of a well-maintained chain is 5000 km.

The average lifespan of a cassette is 10,000-12,000 km.

A poorly maintained chain can jump, which can damage your bike's frame.

Hydraulic brake maintenance

Hydraulic brakes function using a closed circuit between your brake lever and your caliper.

A hose ensures watertightness.

With time, you'll see a normal loss of pressure in your hoses, leading to a loss of braking efficiency. When your brake guard is too soft, or you stop short against your handlebar, you need to bleed your system. This requires specific tools and knowledge.

Warning and adjustments

PLEASE NOTE:never squeeze the brakes without a wheel being attached, as you could get the brake pads stuck together.

If the rotor is touching the pads, here's how to realign the wheel and caliper:

- Loosen the wheel axle

- Brake hard and tighten the wheel axle at the same time

- If the disc touches again, you'll need to do the same thing while loosening the caliper

- If the problem continues, visit a store.
