The DK900 FGC skateboard deck is intended for advanced skateboarders who tend to break a lot of boards or who are looking for the best possible pop.

BENEFITS

Bounce

The FGC assembly provides better "pop" that lasts longer.

Robustness

FGC construction: Twice as strong as a classic 100% maple deck

Flexibility

The construction makes this deck more flexible than normal

Ease of handling

Slightly more pronounced concave than our 100% maple boards.

Impact resistance

High impact resistance on the nose and tail especially in skatepark use.

TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

FGC construction: Fiber Glass Composite

Decathlon Skateboarding has designed this new composite construction with 5 layers of FSC-certified Canadian maple and 2 layers of woven fibreglass, pressed with an Epoxy resin.

This new construction makes the board twice as resistant to breakage as a classic 7-ply maple construction.

Since it's lighter, the board also has more pop (bounce) and lasts longer than a 100% maple board.

Because we don't always land cleanly!

One board per mould

Our FGC decks are individually hot pressed, with an epoxy resin. This means that each mould only presses one board at a time. This allows us to guarantee optimal pressure distribution so that each board of the same model has the exact same shape and curve. Which is an advantage for those that enjoy skating with the same shape.

FSC-certified maple

The wood that we use is FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Council). This certification guarantees that the forest has been managed so as to preserve biodiversity and benefit local people and workers, while ensuring its economic viability.

How are our products tested?

All our decks are tested in the laboratory. These tests validate their compliance with the standards for skateboard decks as well as their resistance to wear. As well as lab tests we do field tests - some measured and others based on the testers' opinions - to really put the product through its paces. To do so, we rely on our team of pro riders.

A deck co-developed with our team of riders

We've worked with our pro riders to develop the DK900 range.
