Setup / Mounting Instructions

Make sure that the capture zone in front of the lens is clear (no branches, bushes, etc.) to avoid taking unwanted pictures without any animals.

You should preferably face north or south to avoid low sun rays at sunrise and sunset that can interfere with the photo or the video.

Install the camera at a height of about 1.5 m / 2 m, pointing slightly downwards.

Starting up

Once you have made the necessary adjustments, you can switch the camera ON. A red light on the front of the camera flashes for 5 seconds to let you know it's working, giving you time to close the box and leave the area.

In the settings menu, the camera switches to standby automatically after 3 minutes without pressing a button.

Detection

Sensor range is 20 m

The range of the invisible black LED flash (940 nm) is 20 m

The camera is invisible when triggered at night, with no visible light

The flash can be adjusted to avoid overexposure at night or if you want to place the camera close to the subject (auto, medium, low, off).

PIR interval between 2 photos/videos can be set from 5 sec to 59 min 59 sec (default 20 sec)

Sensor sensitivity can be set to high, medium or low.

Photo angle: 100°

PIR interval adjustment

PIR interval between 2 images adjustable from 5 seconds to 23 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds

If the PIR interval is set to 01:00, the camera will wait 1 minute between each photo/video recording even if motion is detected.

- Short PIR interval = many photos/videos taken = high energy consumption

- Long PIR interval = fewer photos/videos taken = lower energy consumption.

Sensitivity adjustment

Adjustable sensitivity: High | Medium | Low

In a high-temperature environment, the body heat of subjects is difficult for the camera to differentiate from the ambient heat, so high sensitivity is recommended.

It is advisable to use low sensitivity in an environment with a lot of interference such as hot wind, smoke, near a window, etc.

Night mode and flash setting

Maximum range: a longer exposure time to extend the range of the infrared flash for better night vision (inferior image quality)

Minimum blur: a shorter exposure time to minimise blur due to movement and for a superior image quality, but a reduced flash range

Time lapse and time range

The camera can be set to time lapse: 1 photo every X seconds, minutes, hours, depending on your preference: from 5 sec to 23hr 59 min 59 sec.

Note that this deactivates the motion detector.

You can set 2 operating time periods according to your preference. The camera will then only take photos/videos within the defined range(s). For example, from 3pm to 6pm and from 7am to 9am. Compatible with time lapse and motion detector.

Viewing the photos

Imprint on photos and videos: time, date, temperature, moon phase, camera serial number, battery charge level

2.4-inch (~ 5 cm) TFT colour LCD screen for settings and viewing photos and videos

USB 2.0 port for downloading files to a computer

Memory

SD or micro SD card with 4 Gb to 32 Gb adapter, class 10 minimum (not supplied)

Loop recording: ON | OFF

With the Loop recording parameter set to ON, when the memory card is full, the camera will continue to record new photos/videos while deleting the oldest photos/videos.
