Product Description
A visionary in 2012, Urge had already recognized the potential of open-face helmets for certain mountain biking disciplines. Inspired by trials riding, the REALJET quickly found its fan base. And with evolving technologies, it became possible to design even lighter and higher-performing helmets, perfectly suited to new uses like e-MTBs. Welcome to the RASCAS range.
Naturally Shaped: Because simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, this mountain bike helmet is designed to be simple and elegant. By playing with textures, the visor reveals the brand logo in the sunlight.
According to Your Style: Whether worn on the nose or stored under the visor, glasses are an integral part of our rides, so everything has been designed to perfectly complement them with the RASCAS. Meanwhile, goggles are made for those who aren't afraid of heights, like committed riders and freeriders. The helmet has been designed to fit perfectly around the goggles. The flat design around the circumference above the temples accommodates the headband, similar to a full-face helmet.
POP-OFF System: More than just a dual-position visor, the POP-OFF visor system designed by Urge features a third, virtual position: a detachment position. Difficult to reach to prevent accidental activation, this position activates under greater forces. The goal is to reduce whiplash injuries and protect the visor in the event of a hard fall. And of course, the visor is made from recycled material (Nylon).
SOFTER IS SMARTER: Our most advanced mountain bike helmet couldn't do without the best protection, so it naturally incorporates ERT technology.
The Everyday Helmet: Because we wanted this helmet to tick all the right boxes, we equipped the RASCAS with the innovative Fidlock magnetic buckle for a more comfortable, practical, and secure experience. Furthermore, for a perfect fit, the helmet is equipped with a discreet and precise occipital adjustment system.
Exploration: Unlike our first fiber version, the RASCAS is an in-mold construction, allowing for greater design freedom. It also provides the new design team with an opportunity to affirm the brand's heritage while creating its future momentum. Technical constraints such as airflow control, an innovative visor system, protection, and comfort were central to the design process, and the helmet's aesthetics reflect these requirements. Balanced between smoothness and aggression, this helmet embodies the rider who, propelled by the flow, smoothly traverses rough and steep trails. Just like the RASCAS trail in the hills above Grimaud, from which it takes its name.
Green-sourced Pads: Why use synthetic fibers when the planet does things so well? Unlike traditional materials, bamboo fiber offers a unique combination of strength, flexibility, and comfort. Furthermore, bamboo's moisture-wicking properties help regulate temperature and keep the rider dry, even during extended use.
Airflow: Good helmet ventilation is primarily characterized by its ability to actively and passively dissipate heat. The RASCAS features large vents on both the front and back of the helmet for passive ventilation. More importantly, for active ventilation, internal channels guide airflow, keeping the rider cool.
